New: Find Your Close Community in Pickett Street’s Hometown Bothell

Posted on Oct 25, 2019

I’m in love with the latest listing from Pickett Street—a colonial-style, 3-bedroom, 2.25 bath home in Bothell. The home includes a living room with a wood fireplace, a rec room with a wet bar and skylights, a kitchen with a breakfast nook and cedar-lined ceiling, and a fenced backyard with a firepit. This space looks like it would make for the coziest fall and winter parties.

The home’s surrounding area of Bothell isn’t too shabby, either, and it also happens to be Pickett Street’s hometown. First, before someone else snatches it up, get in touch with Jesse Moore at Pickett Street (425.502.5397) for more information about this listing. Then, see below for more details about the neighborhood.

The Listing

This property is incredibly centrally-located. It’s easy walk away from several schools, including Bothell High School and Red Door Montessori. Not only that, but the property is walking distance from the Bothell library, Sammamish River Park, and the highly-rated tiki bar McMenamins North Shore Lagoon at the Anderson School Hotel.

Area Vibes

With the Northshore District’s stellar schools (ranked eleventh in the state) and a welcoming, safe community, Niche rates Bothell as one of the best Seattle suburbs. One resident notes that “Bothell has a small town feel to it” and that “the location is pretty central to a number of areas so commute times are not too bad.” Another resident adds that the city “is filled with lively people and beautiful forests. The people have a sense of community and pride for the town they live in.”

Without traffic, Bothell is about a 30-minute drive to downtown Seattle. Residents say that as long as commuters avoid peak traffic times—7:30 to 9:30 AM and 3:30 to 6:30 PM—it’s an easy drive. Residents can also hop on the 522 bus, which picks up at the Bothell Park and Ride and gets to downtown Seattle in about 50 minutes.

What to Do

Bothell is full of shops, restaurants, and parks. The city’s North Creek Park is a gorgeous protected wetland with boardwalks and trails. The Sammamish River runs run through town, and the Sammamish River Trail is an 11-mile walking, jogging, and biking path that starts at Marymoor Park in Redmond and ends at Bothell’s scenic Blyth Park.

Additionally, the Burke-Gilman Trail starts in Bothell, connecting with the Sammamish River Trail, and continues all the way to Seattle’s Golden Gardens Park.

Where to Dine

For great beer and comfort food, Pickett Street loves the burger and whiskey bar Stack 571, or The Bine, which serves a mouth-watering grilled cheese sandwich and a monster cookie for dessert.

Bothell is also known for Wildwood Spirits, a farm-to-table distillery that sources nearly all of its ingredients from local farms. Wildwood states that “ninety percent of the produce used for distilling Wildwood Spirits Co. spirits, from winter wheat to Braeburn apples to Douglas fir, is grown in Washington state.”

Finally, Bothell’s Amaro Bistro is a cozy Italian spot known for its stone hearth-fired pizzas and its cioppino with Dungeness crab and white prawns (dear god, that sounds delicious!).

If you’re interested in devouring this cioppino viewing this property and joining Bothell’s close community, call or email Pickett Street at info@pickettstreet.com or (425) 502-5397.
